Our Mission at Ninelives Rescue & Adoptions is to find life-long,
loving homes for every adoptable animal in the East Bay.

Ninelives Rescue & Adoption is run by an all volunteer network of animal lovers with diverse professional backgrounds such as veterinary technicians, artists, chemists, assistants to special needs children, entrepreneurs, and local teens, with individual experience in animal rescue work ranging from beginner to over 30 years dedicated to saving animals.   Without the help of our volunteers, Ninelives could not successfully rescue and place the volume of animals that it does.

We love what we do and believe we have the ability to make a significant and positive difference in the community for the animals as well as people.

Ninelives is an all-volunteer effort; our rescue and adoption is strictly dependant on donations from our local community.  We do not receive City or County tax dollars or funding from any national organizations.

We appreciate any kind of donation, whether cash, check or supplies, to help us operate.  Here are some of the supplies we always need:

• Cat and dog food
• Puppy and kitten food
• Powdered kitten formula and bottles!!!
• Puppy housebreaking pads and cat litter
• Baby gates, blankets, dog and cat beds
• Collars and leashes
• Dog crates and cat carriers
